About Voice4Equity

Dr. Christina Kishimoto founded Voice4Equity in 2021 to foster collaboration that would help make educational policy more equitable and inclusive. A longtime advocate for social justice and a national leader in education policy and equity matters, Dr. Kishimoto has built a leadership team dedicated to achieving the organization’s vision.

As an organization devoted to advocating for equity and increasing the number of women superintendents of color, Voice4Equity seeks to shatter long-standing systemic biases for good. Through strategic leadership building, policy implementation, and community outreach programs, Voice4Equity works toward making tangible improvements in education reform on both a national and international scale.

Why Women Superintendents?

Women have been underrepresented in executive leadership for far too long. This puts schools at risk of missing out on the unique perspective and experiences that women superintendents can bring to the table. Having more women educators in decision-making roles can help create an equitable environment for all students — especially those from traditionally underrepresented communities — thus bridging gaps in access to quality educational experiences.

Voice4Equity offers a range of capacity-development for women who are interested in becoming educational superintendents. For those looking for guidance, we ask that you contact us to learn about our organization — especially if you’re passionate about closing the access gap and creating equitable learning environments for all students.
