The Power Up Series is a partnership between the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Excellence, Equity, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans and Discovery Education that consists of a collection of engagements in the Black community that serve as critical touchpoints in advancing education, equity, and economic opportunity best practices and resources. Dr. Kishimoto will be keynoting this exciting event that features Dr. Wiley Blevins, Dr. Peter Afflerbach, Dr. Laurie Olsen and other literacy experts as we explore 360 degrees of literacy.

The Breakthrough Leadership Institute focuses on interrogating a local problem of practice from a variety of school district compositions – rural, urban, or suburban. Dr. Kishimoto is a lead facilitator for the Institute.
